Therapy For Therapists in Los Angeles and Online
After all you do for others, you deserve support too.
When you know so much about making the sausage, sometimes it can be trickier to find support that really clicks. My approach is open-minded, flexible, and curious. We can learn from each other. My goal is to avoid any differences in therapeutic orientation getting in the way of supporting you.
Specific Issues
Therapists face some unique issues that can be supported in therapy. Here are some examples:
-
Burnout
-
Vicarious or secondary trauma
-
Isolation
-
Non-therapeutically useful countertransference
I hope to support you in working through these issues and how your therapy life and personal life might be impacting each other. You might identify with the “wounded healer” archetype from Carl Jung. Your wounds help others but they don’t have to sting so much.
Your self-care is important.
Your self-care increases the impact you can have on your clients.
Your oxygen mask goes on first.
